narrow dining tables

    dining tables
  • A table on which meals are served in a dining room

  • The first dining tables of which survivors remain are the type known as refectory tables. They are made usually of oak, and one of the earliest, at Penshurst Place in Kent, has a typical thick top of joined planks supported on three separate trestles.

    narrow
  • A narrow channel connecting two larger areas of water

  • not wide; "a narrow bridge"; "a narrow line across the page"

  • make or become more narrow or restricted; "The selection was narrowed"; "The road narrowed"

  • a narrow strait connecting two bodies of water

Review of our dining experience at Skipperkroen restaurant, Copenhagen, Denmark

Review of our dining experience at Skipperkroen restaurant, Copenhagen, Denmark

The Skipperkroen restaurant, Copenhagen, Denmark was a thorough exercise in disappointment and frustration.
Where do I start?
The eight of us were seated in a very narrow location. Everyone on my side of the patio table had to hurdle into our seats. We contorted and bent ourselves into a pretzel to find our chairs. Once seated,.. is was impossible to get comfortable due to the close proximity to other patrons. The server came promptly, however she had a shitty look on her face like we were inconveniencing her. She had no interest in cracking a smile or being pleasant. Her demeanor pissed me off,.. so while she was taking drink orders,.. I jungle gym-ed out of my seat and began furiously searching for an alternate dining venue somewhere up the street. Unable to convince my fellow patrons of moving,.. I once again I contorted myself back into my patio seat. Meanwhile our server continued with her shitty attitude while taking drink orders. In effort to be completely honest, some of my fellow patrons did not have the same dining experience as I. They evidently had the dining expectations of a urban fried chicken kiosk. I digress.
We completed the drink order and began to negotiate separate tickets and payment method with our server. We asked our server if we could not pay in American dollars, she capitulated while rolling her eyes before she set out to confirm with management about our intentions of paying with American money. She returned with an affirmative,.. that paying with American dollars would be expectable. Little did we know how that decision would affect the closing of our dining experience.
She first refused our request for separate "couples" checks,.. but relented after realizing how ridiculous her refusal was. With a noticeable escalation in her angst,.. she began collecting faces to associate with each check at our table.
Our adult beverages were delivered promptly as the server leaned on one hip waiting impatiently to receive the entree orders. As we were aware of the servers shitty attitude and inpatients,.. we hurriedly placed the orders for the main dishes. Although a few in our party were satisfied with the quality of their entre,... Becke and I were completely disappointed. Our Argentine steaks were not edible, the meat was tough and undercooked. I chewed vigorously refusing to believe a sixty-five dollar steak could be so horrible. Becke gave up long before me,... leaving all her steak mostly uneaten. The side dishes were meager portions of potatoes and corn, but were acceptable compared to the leathery steak. No enquiry was made upon retrieval of the used dishes about the uneaten steaks,.. so I complained to the server about the quality of the food. She gave us no favor, ignoring my complaints as if she was mentally challenged. No compensation for the inedible food was offered on the check, we paid the full price for two small pieces of corn and a tiny dish of miniature potatoes,... one hundred and thirty dollars US.
When I report that full price was paid,.. I actually mean full price plus whatever Skipperkroen felt like charging in the exchange rate. Upon payment we realized Skipperkroen was not honoring up to date exchange rate to the tune of 20% less than current exchange. At this point the entire party just wanted to escape this Danish dining nightmare so we paid the bullshit checks and left Skipperkroen Restaurant feeling like we had been ripped off and taken advantage of. I feel confident that our party was not the first to be chumped by this soup kitchen version of fine Danish dishing.
If you think this review of Skipperkroen Restaurant feels a bit vindictive,... then your perception has not forsaken you. This review is both honest and a full retribution for being ripped off by the management at Skipperkroen Restaurant in Copenhagen, Demark.

This Lady Helped Me

This Lady Helped Me

This Narrow
'Cul de Sac' was exactly opposite My 'Let there be Light' Image.
The Lady was telling me NOT to attempt the Climb through the
Tunnel. Immediately, I turned arround and Clicked this Image.
I was grateful for her Help and approached the Lady to ask
permission to keep the Image, she Smiled nicely after seeing
this on my Camera Screen, and went on Inviting Zena and I
to enter her Home for it was 'Cold and Drizzling' out. We gladly
accepted and were surprised by the 'Period Decor' - 150 years
old and Original. Was invited for lunch which was the Highlight
of our Visit. After lunch, coffee brewed by Old Classical set up
beside the Dining Table, all registered on Digital. Need not
say that I sent the Lady a Mounted Book of all the Best Images,
plus one large framed and Mounted in Style with the House. She
chose her Prefered Image from my Small digital Screen. We
Thank you once again, My Lady from Obidos, Portugal.
